As we age, our skin begins to lose collagen. This can lead to wrinkles, age spots, and even pores begin to look more prevalent across the face. FaceTite is a minimally invasive procedure that combines fat reduction, skin tightening, and collagen stimulation to give you a more lifted and toned appearance.

What is FaceTite?

FaceTite is a minimally invasive procedure that is also known as radiofrequency assisted liposuction (RFAL). It is an alternative to a traditional facelift procedure that requires less recovery. The procedure requires just a few small incisions and then the use of a small handheld radiofrequency device to liquefy fat cells and stimulate collagen. The liquefied fat is suctioned out while radiofrequency provides the skin-tightening effect.

Am I a Candidate?

If you have a double chin, loss of jawline contour, or jowls that you would like to improve, you may be a candidate for FaceTite. During your consultation with Dr. Levin, she will examine your face to see if you could benefit from FaceTite. FaceTite is best for those patients who are not yet ready or do not wish to pursue a surgical facelift.

What Areas Can FaceTite Be Used On?

FaceTite is most effective on the lower face and neck by improving the appearance of a double chin, jawline contour, jaws, and marionette lines. It can also be used on the nasolabial folds, upper lip, and brows.

Before & After FaceTite

MyEllevate™ Suture Suspension

You can now add MyEllevate suture suspension to your FaceTite treatment. This minimally invasive procedure uses biodegradable sutures to help contour the neck and jawline. Using the ICLED® light guided suture system, suture suspensions can be placed under the skin without incisions.

Unlike a traditional facelift, MyEllevate requires no incisions or skin removal, and patients can return to their normal activities in a few days. If you’re interested in adding MyEllevate to your procedure let Dr. Levin know during your consultation.

Recovery After Your FaceTite Procedure

During the procedure, local anesthesia and light oral sedation will be used to keep you comfortable. The procedure takes about 1.5 hours to perform. After your procedure, you may experience minimal discomfort, swelling, and bruising of the treated areas. You will need to wear a compression garment 24 hours per day for four days. After four days, you will wear it at night for two weeks. Other symptoms may include numbness and tightness and mild skin irregularities that resolve. Most patients return to work in 4-7 days and resume normal physical activity in a week.

When Will I See Results?

Fat that is liquefied and removed during the procedure is gone for good, and those results may be seen almost immediately. As collagen production takes time, the skin tightening improvements continue for months. Most patients see significant results at three months and continued improvement for 9-12 months post-procedure. The results last 5-7 years. FaceTite reverses the signs of aging, but it cannot stop aging and the ongoing decrease in collagen. Dr. Levin recommends that patients maintain the results of their FaceTite treatment with non-invasive procedures such as Morpheus8 radiofrequency microneedling annually.

FaceTite VS. Facelift

FaceTite is a minimally invasive procedure designed to target specific areas of the face, while a facelift is a complex surgical procedure that leads to more dramatic results. A surgeon can pull the facial tissue upwards during a facelift, helping remove deeper sagging and wrinkles. A facelift also offers permanent results, while FaceTite lasts for several years. Because FaceTite is minimally invasive, it will require a much shorter recovery time to a facelift.

EmbraceRF

EmbraceRF is a non-surgical neck and lower facelift using two treatments: FaceTite and Morpheus8. This unique treatment combines radiofrequency-assisted lipolysis with radiofrequency skin resurfacing to give you a more lifted and rejuvenated neck and facial appearance. Small probes are inserted just underneath the skin’s surface, and excess fat is melted with radiofrequency energy, then suctioned away. Simultaneously, radiofrequency energy is applied to the outside of the skin for a tightening effect.

How Does EmbraceRF Work?

EmbraceRF is a minimally invasive radiofrequency-assisted liposuction (RFAL) procedure. EmbraceRF uses a thin cannula with an internal electrode that is inserted through a tiny incision. Attached to the cannula, but resting atop the skin, is a metal wand that features an external electrode.

The radiofrequency energy heats the fat and surrounding tissues without damaging those tissues. The liquefied fat is then suctioned away via liposuction. In some cases, more aggressive liposuction of the neck and chin areas is performed for the best results. RF microneedling with Morpheus8 is performed on the entire face as the last step. The RF energy that has heated the dermis layer of the skin stimulates collagen production, causing the skin to tighten, firming the area.

EmbraceRF helps address the following concerns:

  • Sagging neck skin
  • Jowls and sagging jawline
  • Excess neck and jawline fat
  • Morpheus8 RF microneedling helps improve skin tone, texture, pigmentation, fine lines, and acne scarring.
