Minimally invasive treatments can include smaller incisions or procedures such as micro-needling or dermal fillers that only break the skin via a small needle. Such procedures also include things such as chemical peels, radio frequency skin tightening, laser treatment, and injections with neuromodulators like Botox or Dysport.

What Are Considered Minimally Invasive Procedures?

Minimally invasive procedures including neurotoxins, dermal fillers, lasers, peels, and microneedling offer powerful, less permanent adjuncts or alternatives to surgery that are highly effective in select patients. These treatments target wrinkles and fine lines, decrease in volume and contour, and unwanted fat. Determining the best approach for a given patient involves careful consideration of the patient's unique anatomic characteristics, tissue quality, and desired results.

Injectable Treatments Offered by Dr. Levin

Dr. Levin offers a variety of injectable treatments that can be used to treat fine lines and wrinkles, add volume, and balance your facial features to help you look your best while looking natural and never overdone. . She offers Botox and Dysport to help relax and smooth wrinkles and dermal fillers such as Juvederm, Restylane, and Sculptra to help improve folds, wrinkles and restore facial volume. Injectable treatments can add volume to areas such as the lips, beneath the eyes, and the cheeks. Dr. Levin’s office also offers the RHA Collection, the latest brand of injectables created in Switzerland.  Dr. Levin’s philosophy is that after treatment with fillers, nobody should be able to tell what was actually done. You look rested, refreshed, and always natural.

Laser Treatments

Lasers can help treat, smooth, and refresh the skin. Lasers work by tightening the skin and stimulating collagen production to reverse and prevent the signs of skin aging.  Some of the lasers offered at Dr. Levin’s practice for skin resurfacing include the AcuPulse Fractional CO2 Laser and the ResurFX Skin Resurfacing. She also offers IPL, nd:YAG laser treatment, laser hair removal, and laser vein treatments for the veins around the eyes and throughout the body.

Skin Care Treatments

More Minimally Invasive Treatments

Other popular treatments include minimally-invasive FaceTite, which helps lift the lower face and neck without a complete facelift. Morpheus8 microneedling is another, even less invasive treatment option that uses radiofrequency to help restore a more youthful facial contour.  EmbraceRF Non-Surgical Facelift is a combination of Morpheus8 and FaceTite that helps reduce lower facial and neck fat while also tightening the skin. This is often combined with liposuction and the Ellevate suture to improve the neck and jawline contour further.  Contact us to find out more about the minimally invasive treatments we offer.

When Is the Age for Treatment

Many patients think they should begin treatment after they have seen significant signs of aging. By then, these signs will be more difficult to reverse. Just because we don't see signs of aging doesn't mean they aren't there. You begin to age much sooner than you see changes, so prevention is key. Lasers, microneedling, and Sculptra can help keep aging at bay.

These treatments can help you maintain your youthful skin for longer. When you undergo the treatment, the results may not be radical but will be working behind the scenes to preserve the great skin you have now. Years from now, your older self will be thanking you for taking such great care of your skin.

Recovery From Minimally Invasive Treatments

One of the most significant benefits of minimally invasive treatments is their short recovery times. While surgeries typically have a recovery of several weeks to months, most minimally invasive procedures only require zero to a few days of downtime. Depending on the treatment, your recovery could just include some minor swelling, redness, or bruising. During your consultation, Dr. Levin or her staff will discuss your recovery process and provide you with a detailed recovery plan.
